The visual explanation he gives about our sin being evident on our skin like leprosy is so true. Of course I've never thought of it that way. That would definitely make me more aware of how sinful I am and of Gods mercy on me.

The idea you commented about reminds me of another sermon where the preacher made this analogy: If you had a disease, and were currently symptom free, would you consider yourself better than people who had the same disease, but were showing serious/painful symptoms? Rather you would feel compassion for them, knowing that someday you may have the same symptoms. The same is true for sin. This makes me not only thankful to God for his mercy, but compassionate towards others.
